The network marketing Industry and the Law of attraction:

The network marketing industry has many names that it is known by:  MLM, direct marketing, and referral marketing are some. There are many companies that choose direct marketing as a means to sell their products.

Most of these companies have some policies and procedures that they follow and a definite compensation plan they offer, and the rest of it is more or less left to the independent distributors or representatives as they are called.

Amway is one company that has made history in the network marketing industry. It is the company that legalized network marketing. They also set a trend or a system of working that would ensure success in making money selling their products. They called this a system. This system consisted of books, tapes, brochures, flip charts, compensation plans etc. Their training for success has a certain set of activities for the representative to do, a certain mindset that the newly signed up Independent Representative or distributor has to develop.

Most of the motivational material is available in the form personal success stories of individual representatives on tapes in those days, or nowadays CDs or DVDs. These stories are mostly sad and heart wrenching and how the family was so penniless and hopeless and it usually it was this opportunity that came as a saving grace to each of them, and the person offering it to them was like a saviour.

The success of the Amway system made it a benchmark and other companies developed their training strategies based on the Amway system. The first thing that a new sign up is made to do was make a list of his dreams, to voice their burning desires. And then he/ she are made to sit and write a list of hundred names or more that would be their database of customers. The offered compensation plan always is portrayed as additional or passive income for the family. They are strongly encouraged to always keep in view all of their dreams and burning desires as they go about their business. They are encouraged to keep in touch with the other distributors so that they remain motivated. The heart of the network marketing industry is the heart of the people involved in it.

Now considering the law of attraction and visualization which says that if you ask for something, you must receive it, then why do not these distributors or representatives ask for their dreams instead? They do not really have to sell any products to achieve those, not if they have followed rules of manifestation, of making their vision boards and gratitude journals and aligning their energy and all of the things that need to be done.

Manifestation requires only three steps after all:

Step 1- Ask with gratitude and faith

Step 2- The Universe responds

Step 3- receive your desire

The secret here is that the success of network marketing piggybacks on the emotions of these distributors that are attached to the achieving of their dreams. It uses the power of the emotions of the distributors as fuel for selling products and building networks. If the distributor keeps in mind his dream at all times, he is no doubt going to be attracting what he wishes, and all the while he is going about selling products and showing how the compensation plan works and if people reject the product and the offer, he is encouraged to keep his dream in mind and go on, never giving up, till his dream comes true. The distributor thinks it is his dedication to selling the products that made his dream come true, whereas it was just his burning desire for his dream that made him succeed.

If at any given time, one thinks that it was working for a certain company made their dreams come true; the law of attraction just would not hold water, would it?

While the motivational methods that the network marketing companies use may be slightly unorthodox, one very good thing about them is that they teach people to find their dreams and overcome their fears, no matter what their current reality is!
