The Vibration of words
69In the begining there was the word...
Apparently the begining of creation was sound.
The Universe is made up of energy. Different types of energy have different frequencies. There was a time when I assumed that it was only living things that had energy, by living I mean things that breathe. It is only quite recently I learnt that all things in the universe are made up of energy, whether they breathe or not. Tables, chairs, books are all made up of energy- even the molecules contained in a solid block of metal are said to ve vibrating with energy, only it is so dense and the movement is so slow that it appears not to be moving.
Thus is is not surprising that words have energy and each word resonates at different frequencies. Not just the spoken word, but also the written word. Words that you use when you write messages, mails, letters do convey the emotion you had when you wrote them. For example- no matter how politely you have worded a letter when you have been feeling very angry, the recipient of the letter will sense the energy and the emotion that underlies it. That is why working professionsals are advised never to write or respond to any client when they are upset or angry. It is also good advice to write out that letter or mail when you are angry, but not to mail it right then. Wait a bit, sleep over it and review it after the mood has passed, you’ll be surprised at how many things you want to change in that mail or letter or you might decide to scrap it all and re-write it all over again.
We can do a small experiment here.
Look at the words here for a couple of minutes sense what they make you feel:
SAD
HATE
ANGRY
UPSET
These words even if not spoken resonate at a low frequency, they offer a negative vibration.
Now take a look at these words for a couple of minutes sense what they make you feel:
LOVE
JOY
PEACE
HAPPY
These words resonate at a higher frequency and offer a positive vibration. Just reading a word over and over again will make you start to feel the emotion in it.
The Japenese scientist Dr. Emoto has proved that if water or food is exposed to a written word- it will respond to that word. Food and water exposed to words such as ‘war’ or ‘hate’ deteriorated quickly; where as those exposed to words such as ‘love’ and ‘thank you’ had not deteriorated.
It is thus very important for us to choose the words we use very carefully. Imagine a Universe that does respond to every word you think and utter even jokingly and send you more of what you are saying and feeling even as a joke!
When you make a conscious effort to choose your words, you will find that the right words come to you naturally over a period of time. You will by and large stop using swear words and curses as those words will no longer resonate with you. Your world will be a happier palce to be in.

But, i have a question.. isn't that your mood is affecting the word? I mean, i could by angry and write you a letter... but i will write on that letter: peace! for example. I have the feeling that we are creating the vibrations of the words, and not the word is creating the vibration... i could be wrong, but please, explain me... We have give some kind of "definition" to the words that we are using.. Im not a good english speaker... so, for me, the word "shit", means something funny, because i don't know the meaning that english people have for this words. Wouldn't be better to control our emotions, instead of learning how to control our words? Wouldn't be easy? Maybe, if we have control our bad emotions, the beautiful words will come very naturaly?

Sorry for posting twice the same message... Dear Vibhavari, i have a feeling that is not the word making disasters, but is the vibration - the vibrations of energy you control it, or not. The energy, the quality of that energy that comes from our emotions, is determing the vibrations of the words we are using... If we transform ourself, our emotions, then the word will have no bad vibrations. I just could send you mean vibrations, energy, without using any word, as we are interconnected - not by thinking! I already have a bad mood, you will just come around me and you will se how easily it will be for me to transmit my bad emotions ( not words ) to you - you will feel as bad as i am. My very feeling is that the word is just an instrument, he has no power without our energy - bad or good. The very cause of our law vibrations is our emotions - i think this is the root of the problem, so with this we should start. There is a very smart guy that is talking about this - the word is not the problem, the problem is our preception, our emotions... i recomand Anthony De Mello.
anca has a very good point. it is the feeling one has that determine the vibration of that person, yet vibhavari says that words are tools to be used very carefully because they can easily change ones mood. the point is to maintain a positive mood. positive mood with negative words equals a flip flop of moods.
i loved ur post i really agree with u and i read about emoto just before stepping into your page what a serendepity

Hi, I am very confused and need some answers asap. I am trying to win the lotter and I have been trying a little bit of everything to alter my mood. And I have been feeling better and better over time. And everytime I have a ticket I get a number but not enough to actually win something. One time I actually did win 12 dollars. So I know I was making progress. But I was reading up that the universe doesn't go by ur word it only goes by vibrations and certain emotions. So does it rlly matter if I picture winning the lotter or not because what I'm actually sending out there is that I want to be wealthy right? So I should just feel the feelings of wealth from every avenue and I will receive that in whichever department the universe decides to give it in? 0r is it ur subconcious that which knows exactly precisely what you desire and points you in the direction specifically?
I'm unable to articulate a sound out of my mouth but articulate ith the written word, this makes perfect sense to me, most days I am centered and measure what I'm going to write, being human though I get it wrong sometimes, my teacher told me that your head and heart can sometimes give mixed messages, always try to come at something with compassion when you feel angry least said soonest mended, however once it is out it can't be taken back. So never react in anger and also never listen to other people and there negative take on words... Very insightful thanks x
Ever since I was a kid, the power inherent in words has seemed obvious to me. Names of people and places not only evoke a particular feeling in the observer, but are, in my opinion, a coalescence of the vibrations concurrent with each individual's inception into our plane of reality.
Lately, as I've been attempting to purify my thoughts and language in order to accelerate my spiritual growth, I've noticed a frequent and unsettling urge to spew profanity; usually to shout or grumble the "f" bomb. While I've been no stranger to foul language in the past, I don't ever remember having to struggle against the (almost) overwhelming desire to hurl curses at my loved ones, or strangers, or even no-one-in-particular!
Is it possible that these "curses" are little entities in and of themselves, independent of my own will, raining down on me--or even emanating out from some nasty part of my subconscious? I'm confused, ashamed, and terrified of launching into some avalanche of filthy insults aimed at my husband or my child!
Please help me; I need to figure out what this is, and how to overcome it! It seems like the more I pray (to Yeshua) the heavier this angry stone weighs me down.
Sounds like you have been listening to some of the same teachings I have, only I'm a little newer at it, only about a year. My mind is changing day by day. I didn't know I had so much unfruitful thoughts,or that produced bad fruit. Thanks for the hub, it is helpful.

Great post. I am a strong believer of the effectiveness of the spoken word, but I never realised the way that the written word also effects our moods....
Thank you!
